About the S.O.B.E.R. Project
The S.O.B.E.R. Project is a Tucson based program that was created by Pastor Larry Munguia, who saw a need
he immediately connected with through his own experience. This program is designed around helping people
not just survive their destructive habits, but to overcome and prosper!
Our Culture
The culture of The S.O.B.E.R. Project is probably different than any other church you might see. 90% of
our congregation is in Active Recovery, 5% are still using, 95% are post incarceration (prison), and 70% homeless.
The S.O.B.E.R. Project is here to see a culture of community and support where we can overcome what keeps people
alone and hurting.
